Dad's Dinner: The 22nd Okte Dad's Dinner will be held on Thursday, April 11th at the Vischer Ferry Fire Hall. The food will be catered by Carraba's (yum!) and there are three seatings (4:45pm, 5:45pm, and 6:45pm) or you can order your dinners to go. Please send in your form by March 28th to order your dinners.

NYS PTA Advocacy Alert: Take Action-Support Student Access to Mental Health Service. National PTA has endorsed the Mental Health in Schools Act of 2013. If enacted, this legislation would increase access to mental health services and support for students and families. The bill was introduced in the Senate yesterday and will follow in the House of Representatives next week. PTA strongly advocates for a comprehensive approach to improved school safety. As such, we encourage all members to make our voice heard by signing up for the PTA's advocacy tool- capwiz- which reaches a lot of elected representatives with minimal effort.

PTA Handbook: The 2012 / 2013 Okte PTA handbook is now available. In it you can find the Executive Board contact information, volunteer forms, committe information, and the PTA Membership form.

Join the PTA: Please join the PTA to show your support for your child, the school, and all the wonderful programs the PTA sponsors. Remember, membership is only valid for one school year, so you do need to renew your membership each year! As a PTA member you'll receive a free student directory, and if you join by September 27th you'll also receive a 25% discount at BOSCOV's on Tuesday, October 16th.
