Okte PTA After School Enrichment Program (ASEP)
What is ASEP?
The PTA organizes after school courses each year in January. All Okte students are encouraged to expand their interests, try new skills, and improve the skills they already have. In the past, courses have included dance, clowing, arts & crafts, french, spanish, latin, bowling, Computer Explorers, Jr. Robotics, scrapbooking, book group, woodworking, jewelry making, Powerpoint, yoga and cake decorating.
The course offereing for the 2010 After School Enrichment Project can be found in this brochure. The permission forms for participation can be found here.
When is ASEP?
These one hour courses will meet for 5 consecutive weeks beginning January 11, 2010 and ending on February 12, 2010.
When is registration for ASEP?
Registration will be held in Okte lobby on Tuesday, December 1 from 6-8 pm. In the interest of time, parents are encouraged to have all forms completed prior to registration.
Each class has a maximum number of students who can be enrolled. Once this maximum is reached, the class will be closed. Unfortunately, some classes also have a minimum enrollment. If a class does not meet its minimum enrollment, the class may be cancelled. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
Please register your child for a course appropriate for your child's grade level. The PTA strives to offer programs for all grade levels, but cannot alter the grade level requirements for courses.
Is there a cost for the courses?
Yes. The cost of a course is determined by the cost of the instructor(s) and the number of students expected to enroll. Course fees are sometimes reduced or eliminated for the children of volunteer instructors and class assistants. The PTA does not profit from this program.
